Site operations and commercial advice

RMCG provides commercial advice and operational expertise to optimise resource recovery facilities and waste management operations across Australia.

Our multi-disciplinary team leverages engineering, regulatory compliance and economic expertise to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and financial performance. This approach integrates regulatory requirements with commercial viability, ensuring operations are compliant and profitable.

We work with facility operators, local governments and industry stakeholders at any stage of development. For new sites, our team guides facility design, technology reviews, commercial strategy and market analysis. We can undertake site due diligence assessment, site identification and layout plans, considering vehicle movements, material flows, processing sequences and expansion capabilities. Our GIS specialists provide site mapping and spatial services.

Our economics expertise means we can prepare business cases, including financial modelling, capital expenditure planning and operational cost projections. We advise on gate fee structures, contract negotiations, and assist in identifying grants and funding opportunities for facility development.

For existing facilities, we identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, developing procedures that enhance productivity while maintaining quality standards. We provide market analysis and pricing strategies to help operators adapt as the resource recovery market evolves.

Hilary Hall

Hilary Hall

Associate

Churchill Fellow, M.Eng.Sci. (Water & Wastewater Treatment), B.Eng. (Chem.)

Hilary believes in transforming waste to regenerate our environment and nourish our communities. Through considered management and appropriate treatment, wastewater and organic by-products can be used to enhance resource recovery, improve soil health and develop local circular economies. As a process engineer with expertise in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, Hilary’s experience includes strategic planning, concept design, regulatory approvals, contaminant investigations and environmental risk. In 2023 Hilary received a Churchill Fellowship, travelling throughout Europe to investigate biosolids regulation and use. With a background in wastewater operations, Hilary has a strong emphasis on developing strategies and management plans that are practical and site-specific.
