RMCG: Supporting Regional Catchment Strategies

As Catchment Management Authorities across Victoria prepare to develop the fourth round of Regional Catchment Strategies, RMCG can draw on decades of experience to assist in this important process.

RMCG’s experience in the development of Regional Catchment Strategies (RCSs) dates back to 1997, when Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) developed the first RCS.

RMCG can help ensure the successful preparation of RCSs, from managing the overall development process through to targeted assistance on discrete components of the process.

This includes:

  • Reviewing and selecting the methods to use in preparing the regional strategy
  • Strategy review and evaluation in preparation for the new strategy
  • Priority setting for natural resource management planning
  • Community and stakeholder engagement
  • Project planning and management for RCS renewal.
