Swan Hill Rural Land Use Strategy

Swan Hill Rural City Council

RMCG were engaged by Swan Hill Rural City Council to prepare a Rural Land Use Strategy to guide future development of agricultural land across the Council area.

The project was delivered in five key stages including; preparation of a background report to compile existing information and identify knowledge gaps, development of the rural residential settlement strategy and targeted stakeholder consultation to validate the findings of the background report and fill knowledge gaps, compilation of the draft Rural Land Use Strategy, public exhibition of the draft strategy to inform the community and collect feedback and the finalisation of the Rural Land Use Strategy.

Following adoption of the Rural Land Use Strategy by Council, a planning scheme amendment will be prepared to introduce the recommended changes to the Swan Hill Planning Scheme.
