Natural Resource Management and Landscapes
Native vegetation, flora and fauna and wider biodiversity represent an important ‘public good’. In most cases, those natural resources are located on private land and are subject to the management practices of the relevant landholder.
A range of individuals and agencies have key roles in promoting the health and sustainability of those resources. This includes catchment management authorities, DPI, DSE and Coastal Boards.
We support many of these entities in planning and implementing programs. In particular, we help coordinate statewide policy across CMAs and DSE on areas related to dryland management.
With our combined experience in farming, salinity, land-use planning, pest plants and animals, extension and research, we are able to develop practical, effective and fair solutions for land and water management.
We can assist in consultation with the community, researching impacts, drafting discussion papers for policy decisions, collection and analysis of economic data, facilitation of workshops with decision makers, preparing strategic plans with key stakeholders and evaluating projects.
