This project involved RMCG working with the DSE Monitoring and Reporting Unit (Natural Resources Division) to prepare for and facilitate a two day workshop aimed at building understanding and support for new NRM reporting requirements. A key focus was the shift in reporting by CMAs to government and DSE to a new system of annual, three and six year reports, each with a different emphasis and function. The workshop included a diverse group with representatives from all ten CMAs as well as several different groups from within DSE. The preparation involved working closely with the DSE team to ensure their needs were very clear and their approach would be effective with the audience. Over the course of the workshop RMCG focused on continually clarifying the goals of each session in the workshop and engaging the whole group in developing solutions to the problems being put before them.

 

As a result of this work, the DSE Monitoring and Reporting team have engaged RMCG to work on another two specific projects that were part of this planning workshop.
